Disable Auto Startup/Login

For some programs, it’s smart to have them start automatically when you login to your computer, such as anti-virus and firewall software. However, you may choose not to have Trimble Connect Sync automatically start at boot-up.

For MacOS

To disable auto start up for MacOS

  1. Open the System Preferences.
    You can also press Command + SPACEBAR to open the Spotlight Search and type System Preferences.

  2. Click on Users & Groups.

  3. Under Login Items, select Trimble Connect Sync.

4. Click the Remove (—) button.

Trimble Connect Sync will be removed and no longer start automatically when you login.


For Windows

To disable auto start up for Windows

  1. Open the Task Manager application.
    You can also open the Start menu and type Task Manager in the Search box. As you type, results display.
    When you see Task Manager click on it or press ENTER, if it is highlighted.

  2. Go to the Startup tab.

  3. Select Trimble Connect Sync Tool.

  4. Click Disable.

Enable Auto Startup/Login

If you have previously disabled Auto Startup, you can enable it again at any time.

For MacOS

To enable auto start up for MacOS

  1. Open the System Preferences.
    You can also press Command + SPACEBAR to open the Spotlight Search and type System Preferences.

  2. Click on Users & Groups.

  3. Under Login Items, click the Add (+) button.

  4. A Finder window will open.

  5. Go to the Applications folder.

  6. Select Trimble Connect Sync and click Add.

Trimble Connect Sync will now start automatically when you login.


For Windows

To enable auto start up for Windows

  1. Open the Task Manager application.
    You can also open the Start menu and type Task Manager in the Search box. As you type, results display.
    When you see Task Manager click on it or press ENTER, if it is highlighted.

  2. Go to the Startup tab.

  3. Select Trimble Connect Sync Tool.

  4. Click Enable.
